Description and/or Objective:

This merit-based Scholarship awards high performing students, with a record of outstanding academic and personal achievements, choosing to pursue their career goals by studying at George Brown College.

Eligibility Criteria: (you must meet all of the following criteria)

Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Entering the first year of a full-time Post-Secondary program at George Brown College in

September 2013.

Minimum GPA Requirement of 75% or equivalent.

Selection Criteria:

Passion for Your Field of Study

(demonstrated by: your contribution to your chosen profession, your career aspirations, participation or volunteerism within your field or area of interest).

Record of Leadership, Community Involvement, Volunteerism, or Extracurricular participation (i.e. School Council, athletics, clubs or organizations).

Deadline:

(demonstrated by: list of leadership activities, their duration, your responsibility in those activities, impact of your involvement on those activities and the community).

Record of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship

(demonstrated by: the type and extent of your participation in programs or projects that demonstrate creativity and entrepreneurship, including community involvement and/or extracurricular participation).

Note: The short-listed applicants may be called for an Interview with the Selection

Committee, before final decision is made.
