Guidelines
a. Copies the bass line EXACTLY from Sweet Home Chicago (20 pts)
b. Uses only C, D, E-flat (or D#), E, G, A, and B-flat (or A#) in the melody. (10 pts)
c. Uses a variety of note values in the melody (whole, ½, ¼, 1/8, 1/16 notes) (20 pts)
d. Duplicates the melody from ms. 1-3 in ms. 5-7 (10 pts)
e. Creates a new melody in ms. 9-10 (10 pts)
f. Title and the author at the top of the song (2 pts)
g. Swing is activated (3 pts)
h. Melody is creative and appealing (5 pts)
NOTE: You may write your 12-bar blues melody with a partner. However, you must:
a) BOTH print a copy of your song from noteflight.com and staple it to the Unit 2 project.
b) BOTH complete Ch. 2 on your own.
