CSIRO is seeking an experienced marketing manager to work in its newest business unit, Data61. This role, working to the Data61 Director Product Development and Marketing will deliver day to day marketing activities, as well as develop and manage a long term marketing strategy for the company. Working in a small team with close relationships to business development, and the CSIRO Communication and Marketing team, you will position Data61 as a leading research powerhouse, and central to Australia’s innovation agenda. Duties and Key Result Areas: Devise and deliver the Data61 marketing strategy Implement strategies which promote and protect CSIRO’s and Data61’s brand Manage a small team and resources from across CSIRO Develop strong trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders across business units, business development and other stakeholders to deliver marketing and communication priorities for Data61 that fulfil CSIRO’s objectives Develop strategies and processes to evaluate the effectiveness of Data61 marketing activities. Implement and manage marketing and communications systems and processes, and develop these capabilities in the business unit Provide leadership that fosters an environment that encourages new ideas and provides support for the development of emerging skills and ideas Show leadership in building an inclusive, safe and respectful culture Selection Criteria: Under CSIRO policy only those who meet all essential criteria can be appointed Pre-Requisites: Tertiary qualifications in Business management, commerce, or marketing along with at least 8 years marketing and communication experience. Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, customer service, and evaluation. Strong track record in successful marketing in a fast moving, multi-channel environment. 5. Highly developed analytical skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills, evidenced by superior reporting, presentation and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to identify and influence critical stakeholders to gain support for contentious proposals/ideas. 6. A record of leadership which encourages new ideas, builds trust and provides support for the development of emerging skills, including influencing staff in observing corporate and professional standards. 7.
