•
You will be travelling with Henshaw’s
Executive Travel
Your coach will have, reclining seats,
air conditioning, DVD etc.
Exact pick-up and return times will be
determined nearer to departure.
Drivers are DBS checked and
experienced; they have worked with
groups before and have driven
extensively on the continent.
There will be two drivers who will
accompany the group and they will
comply with EU Driver regulations and
the EU Working Directive at all times.
•
•
With the latter in mind, it means that
drivers can only drive for certain
lengths of time before they have to
change or have a break of fixed
duration.
This will means that there will be a
break in the middle of the night – it
is not meant to disturb sleep but is
necessary for the group’s safety.

The Hotel
•
•
•
The Hotel Cimone is a family run hotel with 36 bedrooms.
It’s located at Lavarone just a 2 minute walk from the lift station with access to the rest
of the ski area.
The staff speak reasonable English…. But do learn a little Italian.
And inside….
The hotel is well organised for handling groups. Rooms
are for up to 4 people with a combination of twin beds and
bunks or beds
Hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar area, TV room
and meeting space. There will be other guests so you
need to be mindful of this.
On the subject of food… all meals
between arrival and departure at the
hotel are included.
• It may be different! just give it a try!
• Breakfasts are buffet style.
• Simple hot lunch at the hotel or at a
mountain restaurant when skiing Folgaria.
• Dinner will be 3 courses: usually with
soup/pasta, main course and dessert. The
main course is often meat or fish with a
vegetable.
• For any special diets the hotel will be
informed in advance.
• All students must attend meals. Water
will be available but other soft drinks can be
bought at the restaurant - please do not take
your own drinks into the restaurant.
The skiing… is compact in Lavarone with plenty of snow canon cover (just in
case). The runs are very close to the hotel and have a variety of levels to help improve
confidence and technique. The group will ski in both Lavarone and Folgaria during their
stay. Folgaria is about 15 minutes by coach… be prepared to follow instructions about
loading and unloading the coach…
The slopes….
The beginner slopes are located in the village,
opposite and behind the hotel. There is a
dedicated nursery slope with its own lift so that
general skiers and novices are separate for the
first few days.

Money
• We cannot put a cap on the amount students take however a guide
would be maximum of £10-12 in Euro’s a day (Maximum about
€130, plus sterling for the journey).
• They are likely to spend it on sweets, drinks and maybe a hot
chocolate in a mountain restaurant.
• Often there is a professional photographer: individual action shots
and group shot, previously €8 for individual and €9 for group (or €14
for both), this may or may not be the case here.
• Money will be needed for the journey out and back. We suggest
some emergency Euro’s and Sterling are sealed in a named
envelope and given to school staff and can be handed back on the
last day.
• Students must take care with money, do not leave it lying around. It
can be left with a member of staff for safekeeping if they are not
happy managing it.
• Lift passes are to be kept safe as replacements have to be paid for.
