Instructions: As your final writing assignment for our unit on The Hunger Games, you will write a persuasive business letter to Mrs. Hartung, convincing her to do one of two things:

1.

Continue reading and teaching The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins with future students.

2.

Discontinue reading and teaching The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins with future students.

In your persuasive business letter, you will choose one of the above options. You will provide examples to support your stance, with the goal to persuade or dissuade Mrs. Hartung from teaching The Hunger Games to future students.

Format Requirements: Your letter must follow the proper format of a business letter (see sample page).

Address the letter to Mrs. Hartung, and include LCI’s address (single spaced)

Size 12 font

 Include three paragraphs (double spaced)

 Conclude the letter with “Sincerely”

Include your typed name and hand-written signature
