Research both real and fictional (Beowulf) examples of ________________________
Write an essay which establishes at least three conclusions drawn (claims or
insights) about your chosen topic. These will most likely be your body paragraphs.
Each claim must be supported by at least one quote from Beowulf, as well as two
additional outside sources. Each paragraph will have at least three quotes from three
different sources.
Possible topics….. Examine the various themes associated with Beowulf. Discuss
both the positive and negative consequences of these themes in Beowulf and in real
world examples. You can also analyze these examples in past works you have
studied.
Include a Works Cited page
Each entry on the Works Cited page should contain a small explanation as why the
source is credible. Use the A CRAB sheet for this.
This assignment includes a fully written introduction and conclusion. Utilize the
funnel-reverse funnel approach.
You can also think of an alternate choice which must be approved by the teacher.
Example:
Social class is a critical factor in achieving leadership, yet it plays little in sustaining it.
