Notes from Ms. Deming 
-There will be no spelling this week due to winter break.
Spelling will resume after winter break. Please just focus
on vocabulary this week on lesson 5 since their test is on
Friday. Also, there will be no vocabulary the week after
break. After every 5 lessons I like to do a review and
have students create newspapers using their vocabulary
words from the first 5 lessons. Vocabulary will resume 2
weeks after break!
-The book fair is going on all this week. If your child
wants to buy books, send them to school with money.
They will NOT be permitted to go without an adult in the
morning. They will go right after lunch. Thank you!
-SPIRIT WEEK is this week! There was a paper sent in
your child’s Thursday folder that explains what each day
is. Please refer to that sheet if your child wishes to
participate.
- The 2nd and 3rd grade winter concert is this Thursday.
Students should be at their classroom at 6 (no earlier).
Parents should drop off their child and go get a seat in
the gym. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m. Students
should dress in their best attire for the performance.
Parents will be picking up their child back in the
classroom after the show. Please be prompt when picking
up your child.
