Important Reminders
Textbooks are important
instructional materials for your
classes. If your teacher asks you to
bring it to class, please do so in order
to maximize the learning in
your coursework.
Important Reminders
Textbooks belong to you AND ONLY
TO YOU. Sharing textbooks with
another student is not permitted
because of the risk of damage or losing
your textbook. If it is damaged or lost,
the cost of the textbook is YOUR
REPONSIBILITY.
Important Reminders
When you are finished with your course,
are withdrawing from Ashley Ridge, or are
returning textbooks at the end of the school
year, you should turn your textbooks into
the designated place. You should NEVER
give your textbook to another student or a
teacher to turn in for you. The cost of that
textbook is still YOUR RESPONSIBIILTY.
Important Reminders
Do not leave textbooks in your classrooms
because of the risk of them being stolen. It
is also a wise practice to write your name
inside your textbooks for identification
reasons; however, realize that when turning
in your textbooks, the office will use the
barcode on the book to determine to whom
it belongs, not the name that is written in
the front cover.
Textbooks in the
Handbook
Students, please take some time to read our
policies on textbooks in your student
agenda on page 23.
eTextbooks
• Many of your courses have an option for an online textbook.
This is a great resource to use alongside of your paper copy if
you have online access at home. Typically, a username and
password is required. Ask your teachers for each course for
more information.
• If you choose to use the online edition instead of your paper
copy, it is perfectly acceptable to keep your textbooks in your
lockers until the end of school.
