Unit 2 Psychology - Holiday Revision Complete at least two of these tasks in your holidays: 1. Key terms Make a list of all the terms you can think of that fit under the following headings: - Attitudes - Obedience and Conformity - Pro-social behaviour - Anti-social behaviour When you filled in as many as you can, use your notes and textbook to add in any terms you are missing. Make sure to use a different coloured pen. 2. Posters Make up some posters or flow-charts that outline key concepts. Hang them up at home, so that you are constantly reading over the information. For example: Tricomponent Model: an attitude can be broken into three parts; affective, behaviour and cognitive. Formation of attitudes 1. Child rearing Affective: the feelings component. 2. Media 3. Chance Conditioning 4. Group Membership 5. Interaction 6. Mean world view Attitude: an evaluation a person makes about an object, issue, person, place, group of people or event. Behavioural: the observable actions component. Cognitive: the beliefs (thoughts) component. 3. Cue Cards Make up cue cards of key terms and their definitions. Place the term on one side of the card and the definition on the other. Friends and family can then quiz you. 4. Revision sheets/Practice test Complete the Unit 2 Revision sheets or practice test that are on the wikispace (mshughespsychology.wikispaces.com). 5. Homework/ end of chapter tests Attempt the homework questions and end of chapter tests again. Correct your answers and track how well you know the information. You may want to go back over these again, after further revision, to check if you are improving.
