TTW and TSW revisit the specific vocabulary words in Esperanza Rising to gather context clues to assist in deciphering the vocab words. TSW will use the inside of the foldable to write a brief definition of the vocabulary word, a synonym that coincides with the word, and a sentence using the vocabulary word. Upon completion TSW share the brief definition, the synonym, and the sentences that they used. TSW use their text, a map, and the internet to complete the diagram. TSW compare the geography, culture, and natural resources. TSW be given a separate scene from the novel to present in a Reader's Theater play. TSW go with their pre-determined group to this center. TSW work together with their group to write a script. TS script should include both dialogue, and descriptions of the setting, characters and stage directions, as a script would include for any other play. TS may use any of the characters involved in your section of the novel, as well as a narrator or multiple narrators. After the group creates a script, the group will perform the play for the other groups at the end of the week.
