Learning these words will help you increase
your vocabularies and as a byproduct your
reading skills as well. Learning prefixes and
root words will specifically improve your test
taking skills and also your ability to read at
your grade level and beyond.
Listen & Learn 

Copy down the list on the note card sheets provided. Use 1
side the card that you will cut out as the “Root word” or
“prefix side.” The other side is for you to copy the definition
of the root word and /or prefix in addition to examples.

other player. Keep the deck out of sight and draw
one card at a time. The first player to say the
correct definition of the word wins.

player with more cards at the end of the round

definition.
