What were the problems?
• The need to track the growing number of gadgets (web applications) within the Intranet and to know:
- what gadgets they have
- what they do
- who owns them
- what platforms they reside on
• The need to advertise the existence of specific gadgets by writing searches and other gadgets against the inventory data.
• The need for the intranet support team to route trouble tickets and change request for the various gadgets within the portal
