Course Description: Anatomy and Physiology Honors covers the functions and structures of the major systems of the
human body.
Standards Covered: Anatomy Basics, Chemistry, Cells, Tissues, Integumentary System
Supplies Needed: 3-ring binder w/ 5 dividers, colored pencils, index cards
Class Expectations: Students are expected to use the resources (class time, teacher office hours, teacher web page,
Remind.com, Twitter, etc.) to stay current with assignments and to master the benchmarks that are part of the class
curriculum. Students will participate in all class activities and will complete and turn in all assignments on time.
Students must be in class and dressed appropriately in order to participate in lab activities. Cell phones are expected to
be off and put away during class time unless students are given explicit permission for use.
Class will start as soon as the bell rings and the tardy policy will be strictly enforced. A discipline referral will be written
on the 4th tardy (and each consecutive one) each semester.
Grade Policy: Late work receives half credit. Work will only be accepted for 2 weeks past the due date. Tests or quizzes
will have to be made up during teacher office hours within 2 weeks. Tests / quizzes / work not turned in will receive a 0.
