o Skip p. 979-80 the women’s movement - already read
- Ch 27: Republican Resurgence & Decline (p. 991 – 1020)
o P. 991-1011 = 1920s
o P. 1012 – 1020 = start / causes of the Depression
- Ch 28: New Deal America (p. 1022 – 1061)
o Will have a quiz over this chapter!!
- Ch 29: From Isolation to Global War (p. 1063 – 1089)
o Can skip “attepts at disarmament p.1065-1067
o Skim because from World History (start of WWII Europe) “War Clouds p. 10691078
- Ch 30: The Second World War (p. 1091 – 1130)
o Can skip “the allied drive toward berlin” p. 1102- 1110 (pick up at D-Day and
After)
o HINT: focus most on the war in the Pacific
Review Book: (use to help summarize big ideas – this does not mean you can skip the book)
- Ch 23: A New Era – The 1920s (p.470 – 485)
- Ch 24: The Great Depression and the New Deal, 1929- 1939 (p. 492 – 509)
- Ch 25: Diplomacy and World War II, 1929 – 1945 (p. 518 – 536)

- 10 days that Unexpectedly Changed America: Scopes – The Battle over America’s Soul – The History
Channel
- DBQ work time = 3/14 & 3/15 (after we finish the film stated above – bring materials to work on,
also I will be meeting with students during this time to discuss the progress of their projects or the
lack thereof)
Read the 1920s chapter in the Review book
o Identify the terms listed for the 1920s (may need to use textbook at points as well)
o Answer the Review Questions p. 486-7
o Due A day = Wed 14th & B day = Thurs 15th
Activities 1930s:
- DBQ Project Part 3 Due (Documents) A = Tues 20th & B = Wed 21st
- Historical Viewpoints of FDR: The Man of the Century by Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. (complete a
Historical Viewpoints document page –found on blog with example, along with reading – APUSH 
syllabus)
o Due same day as the quiz
- Read the 1930s chapter in the textbook (end of ch 27 and all of ch 28)
o Identify the terms listed for the 1930s (may need to use textbook at points as well as some
terms are not in the review book or may not be explained thoroughly)
o Answer the Review Questions p. 511-3
o Will not turn in terms because there will be a quiz over the 1930s
 Quiz: A day = Thurs 22nd & B day = Fri 23rd

o Identify the terms listed for the 1940s
o Answer the Review Questions for WWII p. 538-9
o Due: A day = Mon 26th & B = Tues 27th
Test DBQ on 1930s (day before spring break A = 30th & B = 29th ) – DON’T BE ABSENT!!
Take home Test over Unit 7
- You may write on the test, you may use your textbook and review book.
- You may NOT use a friend! This is on the honors systems because the goal is to learn and practice
the information and be prepared for the AP Exam! I am trusting you, don’t let me down!
- Due the day you get back to class B = Mon 11th, A = Tues 12th (don’t forget about your DBQ part
4!!)
DBQ part 4 due: 4/10 (A) & 4/11 (B)
- Sample scoring guide sheets on blog under projects!! Look to this for formatting and more specifics
on what to do.
