About the ancient mayans

The clothing worn by the mayans depended on the region they
lived in .
 The wealthy wore colorful clothing made from animal skins and
wore feather headdresses and fancy jewelry.
 A lot of their entertainment was centered at religious
ceremonies. In their ceremonies they play music,dance,and
play mayan ball game. (basketball but more dangerous)

Job’s and education

At first they only taught education to higher
people like Priests,chiefs,leaders, and ,war
leaders. Kids got their education from their
parents and family friends and their parents
taught the kids everything they know.
 Everyone had a job the princes job was to grow
up and learn the ways of a king the ambassador
was to represent other countries the prime
minister was to organize campaigns and to
serve as chief justice at supreme court.
Food and drink
They hunted wild turkey,deer,ducks and
even monkey. they cought fish and ate
birds eggs.
Pulque is a fermented alcoholic drink made
from a few species of the maguey, also
known as the century plant.

mayans mostly lived in adobe houses
with thashed roofs.
It might have taken along time to build
houses but they had to build it slowly.
the houses were rectangular single rooms
With rounded corners having no windows.
Religon and gods
 The
major God of the Mayan people was
Izamna, who was known as the fire and
earth.
 Another god worshiped by the Mayans
was Kukulkan a god of mythology. There
was an important god, his name was
Chaac. God Chaac was the god of
lightning, rain, and storms.
