It is very intriging for students and ecourages learning. Suggestions for Improvement: The are not many improvements for the software. I think that they should change the charaters in video so that they are not repetitive. Description of how to implement in the class: Each student will need access to a computer. For this particular activity students will be learning about observation. I will pass out out 5 flash cards to each studets and instruct them to write the following words on the front of each card. Observe, senses, record, investigate, predict. These words are the site words used for this particular video. While the students watch the video they will need to write down the definition of each words as it is discussed in the video. At the end of the video students will get into assigned small groups to discuss each site word and come up with a sentence using each word. they will write this underneath the definiton on the backside of the card. Students will then store flash cards in a plastic baggie to review before their next spelling test. 1 INSTRUCTIONAL SOFTWARE LESSON IDEA Next, the students will follow the activty listed on brainpop. They will be given a worksheet and asked to record the temperature multiple times a day for five days. They will be asked to make a rain guage and record if any rain has fallen. they will also illustrate the weather for the day at each time of recording.
