WELCOME TO TRINITY COLLEGE!
Thank you for entrusting us with the care and education of your child and it is
with great pleasure that I welcome you into the College Community. At Trinity,
our students are given opportunities to develop their skills across a number of
important areas: academic, spiritual, cultural, sporting, service and stewardship.
Our goal is that graduates from Trinity College will be characterised as young
men and women who are well-rounded and self-confident with a passion for life,
a commitment to excellence, a focus on service, a sense of community and an
appreciation of the love of God.
While the College has many strengths, Trinity’s most tangible strength is its strong community. Our
academic and administrative staff members are totally committed to establishing and nurturing
genuine relationships with our students and their families in order to achieve the best possible
outcomes for all involved.
Welcome to the continuation of an exciting educational journey!

a uniform fitting time before Thursday, 20 November at the Uniform Shop at the Albury campus.
To book your fitting time:
 Visit the College website on http://www.trinityac.nsw.edu.au

LATENESS & LEAVE DURING THE DAY
Students who arrive late are required to bring a note of explanation (if circumstances permit).
They are to report to Student Services in the Administration building to obtain a late stamp in
their Diaries (each student will be provided with a diary on the first day of school). Unexplained
or regular lateness will result in disciplinary action.
If you require your child to leave throughout the day, for an appointment etc, please write a note
to their teacher and have them sign out at Student Services when they leave. If they return later
during the day, they are also required to sign in again at Student Services.
PARENT INDUCTION COURSES
Parental assistance is welcomed at Trinity. If you are able to give of your valuable time to assist
the teachers in the classroom or to help run the many and varied activities that are offered at the
College, you are invited to participate in the Parent Induction Course usually run in Term 1.
Under current legislation, the College is obliged to ask parent helpers to participate in a short
training session. Through presentation and discussion the Parent Helpers are taken through how
to work with children so their time spent helping at the College is rewarding for them and
valuable for the teachers and students.
The following is an example of some activities where the assistance of Parent Helpers is very
much appreciated:
 Reading in class
 Accompanying Excursions
 Swimming Lessons (Kinder-Year 2)
 Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day)
 Clean Up Australia Day
 Assistance in the College Canteen
 Costume Making for Performances
 Junior School Enviro Day
 Story Telling and Cake Day
If you would like to assist, please complete the expression of interest form at the back of this
booklet and return.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE and VACATION CARE
After School Care is provided at the Albury Campus by Camp Australia and runs from 3pm to 6pm
every school day. Trinity College offers After School Care at the Wodonga Campus from 3pm to
6pm every school day.
Camp Australia provides Vacation Care at the Albury Campus. More information is available at
the office at each campus.
COLLEGE HOUSES
The names of the College Houses listed below are the names of men from the Thurgoona area who
served in World War 1. Their names are recorded on the Honour Boards in the Thurgoona Community
Centre. Some of these men have their descendants enrolled at the College.

SCHOOL BANKING
The College’s School Banking provider is the Hume Bank. A ‘Clancy Koala’ Junior Savers’ Club
envelope is available from the office.
School Banking encourages young students to save. The Hume Bank provides a passbook
account and students bring their deposit books and money to school on Wednesdays, during the
school term. These are then collected from the College by the bank for processing and returned
the following day. The College also benefits from School Banking, with the Hume paying a
commission of $2 for each account that is opened.
SPORT PROGRAMME
Trinity College participates in a range of sports in the Junior and Senior schools. These
competitions vary from introductory opportunities through to competitive pathways against
students throughout the state.
Trinity offers all students the chance to compete in inter-house swimming, athletics and cross
country carnivals. College representative teams are chosen to train and compete in either the
Border Independent Primary Schools’ Association (BIPSA) (Junior School, Albury), School Sport
Victoria (SSV) (Junior School, Wodonga) or Border Independent Senior Schools’ Association (BISSA)
(Senior School) team. Students who are successful in these competitions can represent the
College and region at the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) or SSV (Wodonga) carnivals.
Trinity is proudly represented at a number of gala days, including:

AFL (boys and girls)

Waterpolo (boys and girls)

Volleyball (boys and girls)

Cricket (boys and girls)

Tennis (boys and girls)

Golf (boys and girls)

Rugby League (boys)

Rugby Union (boys)

Equestrian (boys and girls)
As part of CIS, Trinity students can trial for a range of sports to compete in NSW Allschools
competitions. The Riverina Associated Schools (RAS), of which Trinity is a member school, selects
representative teams to compete against other CIS associations. This is a wonderful opportunity
for students to compete against the strongest competition across the state.
Trinity also offers a range of co-curricular sporting teams. The College has 40 teams which play
basketball, netball or volleyball weekly in local competitions. Trinity students train weekly at
school with qualified coaches.
At the beginning of each school year, students can express their interest in playing a sport/s,
nominating their preferred level of competition. Students should watch the daily messages or
speak to the Head of Sport and Co-curricular, Nash Clark.
