• Default for Normal Style: Calibri

• Open any document and observe what the
different fonts look like 
• All font styles are not appropriate.
• They must be easy to read
Font Size
• Measured in points. 72 points per inch
• Default for in Normal style is 11
• Click drop down arrow to change
• Type name in box
• Grow and shrink one point by clicking the grow and
shrink button
• Change color using font color arrow or font dialogue
box
Formats
• Paragraph Formats:
– Control alignment, indention, line spacing,
numbering, look or position of entire paragraph
• Character Formats:
– Font, font style, size, color, and other formats that
transform the look of characters
• Clear formatting button
– Removes all formatting and leaves plain text
• Short cut keystrokes
– Ctrl B

• A letter written on behalf of an individual
instead of on behalf of another business
• May be written using block, modified block,

– Contact information
• Does not usually have a title line unless on letter head

– Personal business letter you send with a resume
when you apply for a job.
