The Tribulation
The Tribulation is a name given to a seven year period of judgment future to us today.
The Tribulation
This seven year period is the final fulfillment of a prophecy about the events that would proceed the coming of the Kingdom of God on earth.
The Kingdom
The coming Kingdom involves a 1,000 year period in which the Son of David, the Messiah, will reign over a restored Israel.
The Kingdom
During this 1,000 years, Satan will be locked up and Jesus will reign as King during a time of unprecedented peace and righteousness.
The Tribulation
The focus of the Tribulation involve three sets of judgments which devastate the earth and its inhabitants.
These judgments are called the Seal, Trumpet, and Bowl
Judgments.
The Tribulation
They are presented in a way in which all three judgments take us up to the climax of the events at the end:
Armageddon and the Return of Christ.
The Tribulation
At the Second Coming of Christ, the battle of
Armageddon takes place.
Armageddon is the final great battle between Christ and the Kings of the earth.
The Tribulation
After Christ’s victory at Armageddon, Satan is locked in the Abyss for 1,000 years, Jesus takes His throne and reigns 1,000 years.
The Tribulation
At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan is released for a
“short time” and leads a final rebellion against the Lord.
The rebellion is ended when fire from heaven consumes them.
The Tribulation
After the rebellion, the Great White Throne takes place in which unbelievers are judged according to their works.
Anyone whose name is not in the Book of Life is cast into the Lake of Fire, along with Satan, his angels, Death, and
Hades.
The Tribulation
The heavens and the earth are destroyed by fire and the
New Heavens and New Earth appear.
This begins the Eternal State.

The Tribulation
As of today, we have arrived at the middle of the
Tribulation, which is when the heat is turned up.
The Tribulation
Chapter 12 has just introduced us to the major drama in this second half: Israel vs. Satan.
He will seek to destroy Israel.
The Tribulation
Chapter 13 introduces us to the three agents of Satan in his attempt to destroy Israel:
• The Beast, the King of the North
• The False Prophet
• The Image of the Beast brought to life
The Tribulation
The specifics of this should again encourage us concerning our time and that to come.
We see the world moving toward a time completely under the ultimate rule and outcome of God.
The Tribulation
While much that is happening is sobering, none of it is unknown, none of it out of His control.
The Tribulation
God is dealing with the problems creating by man and our rebellion to God.
The eternal Kingdom of God is on the way!
The Tribulation
We must never forget how we got into this mess.
Satan began by lying and challenging God’s goodness and integrity.
The Tribulation
Humanity followed Satan’s lead and sin became part of our reality, along with death, disease, and world-wide conflict.
The Tribulation
The world’s system was the third part of this disaster.
We’ve suffered ever since in a gradual down hill slide.
Oh, and guess who gets the blame and our anger?
The Tribulation
The last thing we should do is pull further away, to follow the course that got us into this.
Our one hope is Jesus Christ.
And, He wins!
