EVENTS OF THE TRIBULATION: THE SECOND HALF
The seven bowl judgments target the Antichrist and his
followers.
Revelation 16:1 (NKJV) Then I heard a loud voice from the
temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls
of the wrath of God on the earth.”
First Bowl: Loathsome Sores
Revelation 16:2 (NKJV) So the first went and poured out his
bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon
the men who had the mark of the beast and those who
worshiped his image.

Second Bowl: The Sea Turns To Blood
Revelation 16:3 (NKJV) Then the second angel poured out his
bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and
every living creature in the sea died.
Second Bowl: The Water Turns To Blood
Revelation 16:4-7 (NKJV) Then the third angel poured out his
bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became
blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are
righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to
be, Because You have judged these things. For they have shed
the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them
blood to drink. For it is their just due.” And I heard another
from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and
righteous are Your judgments.”

EVENTS OF THE TRIBULATION: THE SECOND HALF
Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched
Revelation 16:8-9 (NKJV) Then the fourth angel poured out his
bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men
with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they
blasphemed the name of God who has power over these
plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
Fifth Bowl: Darkness And Pain
Revelation 16:10-11 (NKJV) Then the fifth angel poured out
his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became
full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the
pain. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their
pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

• Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up
• Revelation 16:12-16 (NKJV) Then the sixth angel poured out
his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried
up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be
prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out
of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and
out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of
demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the
earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of
that great day of God Almighty. “Behold, I am coming as a
thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest
he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered
them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

• Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken
• Revelation 16:17-21 (NKJV) Then the seventh angel poured
out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the
temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” And
there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there
was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as
had not occurred since men were on the earth. Now the great
city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations
fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give
her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. Then
every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And
great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the
weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague
of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

• As these armies gather together, the “sign of the Son of Man”
appears in the heavens (Matthew 24:30).
• Matthew 24:27-31 (NKJV) For as the lightning comes from the
east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son
of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be
gathered together. “Immediately after the tribulation of those
days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its
light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the
heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will
appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will
mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds
of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather
together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
to the other.

• Revelation 19:11-16 (NKJV) Now I saw heaven opened, and
behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes
war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were
many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except
Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His
name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white
horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it
He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them
with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe
and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all
people, free and slave, both small and great.”

• Revelation 19:19-21 (NKJV) And I saw the beast, the
kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together
to make war against Him who sat on the horse and
against His army. Then the beast was captured, and
with him the false prophet who worked signs in his
presence, by which he deceived those who received
the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his
image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire
burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with
the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him
who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled
with their flesh.

CONCLUDING APPLICATION
• Titus 2:11-14 (NKJV) For the grace of God that
brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching
us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the
present age, looking for the blessed hope and
glorious appearing of our great God and Savior
Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He
might redeem us from every lawless deed and
purify for Himself His own special people, zealous
for good works.
