(The Student Handbook Section). Cases of cheating and plagiarism can result in failing an assignment, failing
the course, the student being reported to the Dean of General Education and/or a report of the event being
placed in a student’s record.

Plagiarism detection software will be used to aid in maintaining academic honesty and integrity.

Academic dishonesty and plagiarism will not be tolerated.
•
The first offense will result in a 0 grade for the assignment.
•
The second offense will result in a failing (F) grade for the course and the reporting of the incident to the
Dean of General Education.

All emails received will be answered within 24 hours unless on weekend or holiday.
All test will be graded and posted on portal within one week
Attendance Policy
This course will begin promptly at the prescribed time throughout the duration of the semester. Students will be
required to be in class on time as to not disturb other students or the instructor with their late arrival. Students
are required to be in attendance the entire class period. To be in attendance you must be in engaged in the
coursework, just being present on campus does not constitute being in attendance. Each absence will be a 30
points deduction toward the possible 300 points for participation. To earn full credit for participation on a
given day, you must be on time and attend the entire class. If you are late it will be a 15 point deduction or
leave early it will be a 15 point deduction. All students must be willing to participate in class activities or there
will be a deduction of 15 points , students will be notified of this deduction of points.
Classroom Policies
Each student is responsible for completing their own work. Copying work of another student is considered
“Academic Dishonesty—plagiarism”. Any help needed will be provided by the instructor
Cell Phone Policy
There will be NO CELL PHONE USAGE DURING CLASS TIME OR TESTING, using cell phones during
class will result in deduction of participation points for non-participation in class.
Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, class cancelation is left to the discretion of the Chancellor. You will be
notified of class cancelation on the university website, through news media, and through REACH. Please make
any additional statements concerning your personal inclement weather policy.
