PGD in Quality Management (2007)
- “Project Management & TQM Techniques” were applied on Retrofit Project of Jeep
M38A-1(RR). The Project went within budget, in time with tangible and improved quality
standards for consecutive 2-3 years. All workers were motivated and recognized thus
completed the project with 90% reduced over time for the first time.
Projects at 603 Base Workshop (2003/06)
- Established an effective Quality Assurance Department (QAD).
- Established an effective Audit System using SQC tools, Kaizen and 5-S Japanese
Techniques.
- Organized and conducted 1600 plus Lectures on QMS in Urdu with practical application
by introducing the concept of “Power of 20 Minutes”. This technique brought rapid quality
awareness in the workers without compromising their official routine and made majority of
the ‘Resisters’ into ‘Advocates’.
- Designed & Conducted 150 Lectures on HRM for Civil officers / staff of the Formation.
MSc Thesis (2006)
- Development of an effective & efficient Implementation Model of Quality Management
System (QMS) for Pakistani Organizations.
Unit Commander Course Project(2003)
- Review and revision of EMER-H 402 S on Base Workshop Procedures of 1959 incorporating
all the existing requirements of the Field Army using TQM and Benchmarking Techniques.
Unit Project at 47 EME Battalion / Southern Command(2000-03)
- Practical Applications of TQM were introduced at Field Workshop Company level, where
a complete practical frame work was developed for all the levels of management at
Company and Battalion.
Mid Career Course (MCC) Project (1995)
A study was given to carry out Quality Analysis on ‘Pattern of Student Officers Reporting to MI
Room for all types of courses conducted at College of EME. The study was based on 3 years
data which was analyzed using Basic SQC tools and TQM techniques. This resulted in very
useful and thoughtful recommendations which brought major changes in the schedule,
environment and policies of College of EME for all the courses. It is a typical example of
Assumption based Management Vs Management based on Facts.
