1a. For there to be light, there must be an electric power applied to the light bulb.
Electric power is supplied to homes, offices, schools, etc. through electric wires
(isn’t that right?); you know, those wires hanging over your head in your street.
Can you say that those electric wires are the electricity? Give me your answer and
tell me reason(s) that justifies your answer.
(b) The above analogy is made up so as to help you understand that there is a
“big” difference between the internet and web. Now that I have explained using
the electricity-and-electric wire analogy, what is the difference between the
internet and the web? (please, don’t use their individual definitions to make your
distinction. Use your own body of knowledge as much as possible).
2. You already know that the computer is an electronic device that can accept
data, process it, and is able to bring out the processed data as information (or
else, it will simply store it for future use). What you probably don’t understand is
how exactly the computer process these data into information. The answer is
simple. Computer is able to achieve all these because it is made up of specially
designed electrical circuits called logic gate (aka logic circuit)
a. What is logic gate?
b. there are (3) basic logical operations that can be carried out by a logic gate.
Name them, and then explain each of them.
c. What is logical operation? How is it related to mathematical operations such as
addition? I mean, using addition as a case study, how is “addition” related to
logical operation?
