 Responsible for Import, Purchase,( National and International).
 Imports handling: Scrutiny of complete import documents, invoice, packing and detail
packing list, certificate of origin, BL, telex release BL, Insurance, and giving instructions
on document for the shippers as per Customs.
Preparation of Annexure (III) Central Excise document for the import of goods at
concessional rate of duty as per the EXIM policy.
Instructing and verifying correct HS code of the parts imported as per Import tariff code
(ITC) on filing for clearance.
Battery import and handling as per battery management act by Ministry of
Environment and Forest norms.

 Logistics: Negotiations with Freight forwarder for the best Ocean and air freight,
destination charges transport charges etc, INCO terms 2011, Complete clearance
formalities with freight forwarders (K+ nagel, Seven seas logistics, Uniworld
logistics, DHL, FedEx.. ), Shipping liners (Maersk Liner, Hanjin shipping, PIL..)
Customs house, clearance agents and container freight stations in Chennai.
 Material planning and Procurement, purchase order release exclusively in ERP (MS

 Liaising with Customs& Central Excise, attended several personal hearings with
Asst. Commissioners, AO, PO (officers) of Customs, camped in Chennai for a month
and visited various CFS in Chennai and directly resolved queries during inspections.
