TRANSFER GUIDE
This transfer guide is used to assist you with your transition to Saint Xavier University. If students
complete the majority of their general education requirements prior to transferring to SXU, you may
qualify for the IAI GECC ARTICULATION AGREEMENT with the exception of three mission based courses
from Saint Xavier University. These are: Religious Studies, Philosophy 150 and an Interdisciplinary
Seminar course. Please note you must satisfy the requirements for the major and reach a minimum of
120 credit hours.

TRANSFER STUDENTS WITH MORE THAN 30 CREDIT HOURS
Students who have completed the Illinois Articulation Initiative General Education Core Curriculum (IAI/GECC) requirements
(37-41 credit hours) must take the following additional mission-based courses from SXU in order to fulfill their general
education requirements:
Philosophy 150: The Examined Life (3 credit hours)
One Religious Studies course (3 credit hours)
Level III Interdisciplinary Seminar (3 credit hours) – MGMT 380
Students have the opportunity to qualify for SXU’s IAI/GECC Articulation Agreement as long as the majority of the general
education core has been met prior to transferring. Any remaining Gen ED may be taken from Saint Xavier University.
All other transfer students will be evaluated on an individual basis in terms of SXU General Education requirements
