Attendance
• Please try and get your child to school by 7:30. We have specials
at 7:45 and really need the first few minutes in the morning to
get settled in.
• Although they may get here as early as 7:20.
Math Curriculum
• This is our second year to use Origo Stepping Stones as our

Each one of our modules comes with a
parent letter. We will be sending these

be found on our website.
On these parent letters you can find a
basic explanation of things we will be

ideas for what you can do at home.

Math – How can you help?
• The jump from 3rd grade to 4th grade is large and students will need
reinforcement at home:
**Khan Academy and Learnzillion are a great resource for reviewing a concept.
**Our goal is to send out resources each week that you can use to help your child
if needed.
• Make sure students know their multiplication facts!
**It relates to all areas of mathematics.
**We are providing a list of fluency games and apps that you can
download on your iPads or phones.
Homework Policy
• Homework goes home every Monday for the week.
Students can complete it at their convenience
• Homework is due on Fridays. We check it together on
those days.
• Part of homework for the first semester is fact fluency
practice. 10-15 minutes a night is ideal. Kids can
practice by using flash cards, apps or games.
Science
• This is also our second year to use Science Fusion for our
curriculum resource
• Students will have a log in this once we set up our online classes
• Access digital lessons to reinforce the concepts being taught in
class
•
May also be used as content of the class or as homework for a ‘flipped’
classroom
• Students will find many other resources on the website
Thank you all for coming! You are helping
make it the best academic year yet. We
appreciate all that you do at home to
support your child’s education!
