Birthdays and
Student of Week
Birthdays
• You may bring in a birthday treat for your child’s birthday, but all
treats must be wrapped as individual servings. They must be
dropped off in the office. Please provide napkins if necessary.
Your child will share the treat in the classroom. It would be great
for you to notify me a few days in advance too!
• We have 23 students in our class!
• A fun alternative to sending in a birthday treat is to purchase a
book for the school library and having your child’s name placed
inside the cover as a dedication to Alcott’s library. See Mrs. Benge
for more details about this.
Student of Week
• Each student will be given the opportunity to shine for a week:
complete a poster, bring in something to share (pets if prearranged only), read a part of a favorite book, bring
something in for the class estimation jar
Parent Volunteers & PTA
• I really appreciate all the parents who have
signed up to volunteer!
• I will make a volunteer calendar for
mid- September - December. Please let me know
if you are not able to come in to volunteer on your
scheduled day.
• I will have activities ready for you to do with the
children and/or for me when you arrive to our
classroom!
