POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager, Operations and Inventory Control assumes a leadership role in all process and facility improvements. This
individual makes recommendations in the development of short and long term logistics strategies for the improvement of
operational processes in support of business strategies, customer service objectives and financial goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other Duties May Be Assigned

















Recommends and manages systemic, procedural, or mechanical improvements to support business and operational
requirements. Monitors operations for process improvements.
Leads efforts in analyzing inventory related financial information, cycle count reconciliations, and provides timely
and accurate information and recommendations to business leaders.
Develops specifications and business requirements for all Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) upgrades to
support business strategies.
Leads the installation and testing efforts of all upgrades and enhancements for the WMS.
Develops and maintains statistical data to monitor productivity, accuracy, and benchmarking.
Oversees inventory department to ensure that all critical activities take place in a timely and accurate manner, in
support of the overall Company objectives.
Maintains the Print Room and associated responsibilities to insure all orders are printed and shipped in a timely
manner to meet or exceed our customers' expectations. Coordinates ordering pick tickets, printing equipment and
supplies.
Conducts ongoing inventory analysis to identify and solve inventory problems.
Leads our training efforts in respect to all WMS and standard operating procedures.
Creates and maintains budget, ordering and on-hand inventory for corrugated materials and supplies.
Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of all Company inventory transactions.
Works with finance and operations in the planning, execution, and reconciliation of cycle count inventories and any
associated discrepancies.
Coordinates with other departments to create the inventory budget.
Directs all reporting requirements for Production and Inventory Control.
Sets guidelines for the transfer of merchandise between warehouses in consideration of business cycles and storage
capacities; monitors adherence to those guidelines.
Identifies and implements processes and procedures to maintain high inventory accuracy.
Coordinates efforts for preparation and execution of year-end inventory audits.

Works independently to facilitate the objectives of the department under minimal supervision. Position requires the

Regular interaction with vendors, Executive and Management teams and warehouse associates.
Directly supervises associates.
Creates, defines, and maintains project plans for facility, systemic, and process improvements.
Maintains the sensitivity of confidential information.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE






Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related or equivalent experience
in transportation and shipping operations.
5-7 years’ experience in warehouse operations analysis with knowledge and understanding of a pick and pack
fulfillment center.
3+ years’ management experience.
Experience using WMS or Transportation Management systems.
Proficient using MS Office Suite of products including Access; experience with Crystal Reports, WebFocus and
some knowledge of SQL is preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS



Warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
Physical activity includes regular sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and climbing
stairs and ladders. Basic motor skills to access computer files for information, data entry or document creation.
Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
