Wednesday, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ birthday! On that day we have lots of fun activities planned; including: Pajama Read-in (students get to wear pajamas to school plus we’ll have an extended reading time where everyone in the school takes a break to read!), sharing the books we wrote for our K-2 friends, art activities, guest readers (like you!) and more. Would you like to come into the classroom and read a 1015 minute long story to our class? E-mail me!! I’d love to have you read. THEN, be sure to join us at the school on Friday night (March 4th) for the 7th annual Dr. Seuss on the Loose Family Reading and Fun Night – there’s free books and awesome guest readers! ----------------------------- Quotes o’ the week The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. ~ Helen Keller There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island. Homework should be signed (after being looked over and checked for errors/understanding) by an adult, and then signed before the homework comes back to school. Students should be reading every night – for at least 20 minutes. Days read should be recorded on the February Read at Home calendar. The minimum amount of days read should be 20 days a month. Even though we’re not in the midst of a contest, we are still taking Box Tops. Dancing Project is still going. Ask your kiddo more about it, e-mail me, or check the website for more info.
