Trust|Voyager Expedia Interface Implementation Process
This is a step by step guide for implementing a hotel on the Trust|Voyager Expedia Interface.
Step 1:
You must contact your Expedia Market Manager and sign the Direct Connect agreement.

A merchant agreement must be in place to be eligible for the Direct Connect interface
Q:
I currently use the Expedia extranet, how will this change with the Trust direct
connection?
A:
After the switch to direct connection or XML, you will still have access to the Expedia
extranet in order to track the performance of your hotel. Features still available on the
extranet include: Competitive Price Grid, comprehensive reporting and a change history
tool.
You will also be able to view your rates and availability, but you will not be able to
CHANGE your rates and availability as this will be coming directly from LEO. In case of
an outage you are able to edit and change the Booking Limit value, reducing or
increasing the count of rooms you want Expedia to sell.
Q:
I currently have a Merchant agreement with Expedia, will this change?
A:
Your current Merchant agreement with Expedia will not change. Any fees paid to Leading
Hotels are independent of the agreement with Expedia.
Q:
I do not have an agreement with Expedia or my agreement is retail and not merchant,
how do I sign up?
A:
You will first need to sign an agreement with Expedia before activating the direct
connection with Trust. Please visit https://www.joinexpedia.com/ for further information.
Step 2:
Quality Control at Leading Hotels will contact you and assist you in completing the Expedia data
dump.

Up to 6 room types may be used
Rates must have availability for at least 300 days
Rates amounts must be NET excluding commission

What is a data dump?
A:
A data dump is information on your room types and rates codes needed by Expedia to
activate your hotel with the Direct Connect interface.

Step 3:
Quality Control sends the completed data dump to Trust for processing.
Step 4:
Trust will work with Expedia to setup the interface and activate it. All rates and room types
contained in the data dump will be uploaded to Expedia and activated.
Step 4:
The Extranet will be deactivated by Expedia and property switched on for ARI delivery. Quality
Control will notify you that your hotel is now active on the Direct Connect interface.
Step 5:
Please log into the Extranet and review your data. Alert Quality Control at qc@lhw-offices.com
of any problems or questions. Do not contact Expedia directly as Quality Control will be your
direct contact for support with the interface.
***Please note
If there are any changes after the completed initialization of your hotel regarding room types or
rates that need to be sent via the ARI interface a new data dump will need to be created and
this process followed again. The rates and/or room types will be rejected by Expedia until setup.
You must complete a new data dump to remove room types or rates also. If you do not, this can
result in the systems being out of sync.
