Dear Members of St. Bernard, This Tuesday, Oct. 27, there is no Mass - the 12:10pm MASS IS CANCELLED for that day. A priest is not available, and a Communion Service is no longer permitted in place of a weekday Mass. Bishop Lennon is meeting with all priests of the Diocese of Cleveland on Tuesday, Oct. 27. We will be going over the results of a study on the longrange projection of available priests for the Diocese. He will be seeking our advice on how to manage so many parishes with fewer and fewer priests. At our last Pastoral Council meeting I presented a plan to broaden our current policy regarding wedding requests. With agreement from the pastoral council I will consider other wedding requests for 2016. We will continue to follow the Church's guidelines concerning the couple's connection to their pastor and parish community in which they reside, as well as, give fair consideration to the long-range needs of the St. Bernard church and Parish community. Hopefully, balancing these two elements will make for a happy marriage! Pardon our dust! The scaffolding will be in the sanctuary for a few more weeks. Areas were damaged by water leaks. See you at the Swiss Steak Dinner next Sunday, November 1st. See today's bulletin insert. In Christ, Fr. Dan PAGE 2 can be found on TODAY'S BULLETIN INSERT
