ROCKWALL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Facility Specialist Employee Job Description JOB TITLE: Facility Specialist WAGE STATUS: Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Reservations Manager PAY GRADE: AS 3 – 226 Days DEPARTMENT: Facilities Planning & Construction DATE REVISED: 04/16/13 PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Specialist will provide support to the Reservations Manager, be responsible for scheduling and helping with all aspects of facility usage for both internal and external customers. Qualifications: Education/Certification High School diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word Processing and Outlook Strong organizational skills and file maintenance Strong communication skills Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with interruptions Ability to maintain accurate records MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILTIES AND DUTIES: 1. Schedule facility rentals for the District. 2. Ensure work orders, custodial, Facility Monitor, Plant Manager and technology instructions are properly entered on the calendar and communicated to appropriate staff. 3. Schedule Facility and Scoreboard Monitors as needed for events. 4. Prepare invoices, manuals, and schedules using a personal computer. 5. Maintain physical and computerized departmental files. 6. Provide support to Reservations Manager for events and activities on RISD campuses. 7. Follow policies and procedures that provide the highest quality of services for the District. 8. Answer and respond to incoming calls, emails and visitors. 9. Maintain confidentiality of information. 10. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Equipment Used: Computer, copier, printer, scanner and other equipment as needed. Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Some in-district travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
