An accomplished certified public accountant (CPA) with vast
professional credentials, Sheryl Waters has over 28 years of experience
providing domestic and international audit, tax, financial, consulting, and
forensic and litigation services to the public and private sectors. Having
worked eight years as a consultant to the U. S. Treasury Department
and the Saudi National Guard Hospital in Saudi Arabia, she is wellversed in international accounting standards and their impact on
domestic financial statement policies and guidelines.
Sheryl is a shareholder and co-founder of Waters CPA Group PA, a full
service, woman-owned small business and professional association of
CPAs and financial consultants. With offices in Perry and Tampa,
Florida, the firm specializes in tax planning; financial statement
preparation; audits, reviews and compilations; computer consulting;
healthcare and health maintenance organization (HMO) consulting; forensic accounting; business
valuations; insurance consulting; and investment advisory services. Waters CPA Group PA clientele
include entrepreneurs across numerous segments of business and government, including the brokerdealer, mortgage, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, restaurant and hotel management, technology,
import-export, and film production industries. Her firm remains a longtime member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a participant in the rigorous, state-administered peer

Sheryl is a native of Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of
Science in Accounting. She attended the Graduate School of Business at Samford University in
Birmingham, Alabama, and the School of Banking of the South in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sheryl is a
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida and Alabama, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified in
Financial Forensics (CFF), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™), and a Certified Professional Coder
(CPC).
Sheryl is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, American
