Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, proudly announces the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award
2015, for the 12th consecutive year. The objective of the Awards is to promote and recognize Corporate
Sustainability in Sri Lanka and encourage businesses to adopt best practices to create goods and services.
The event will be held on;

The keynote speaker for the event is Mr. Mark Devadason, Global Head of Sustainability, Standard
Chartered Bank. Will speak on “The Increasing Importance of Environmental, Social and Governance
(ESG) for Business leaders and the potential opportunities from Global goals for Sustainable
development”
“Mark Devadason is currently the Global Head of Sustainability, based out of Hong Kong and
is in charge of the Group’s overall Sustainability agenda, a core part of the Bank’s strategy to
build a sustainable business through contributing to economic growth, leading as a
responsible company and investing in the future of communities.
Mark leads a team responsible for the Bank’s environmental and social risk management function and all
the Bank’s environment, employee volunteering and community investment activities. He is also a
member of the Board of Standard Chartered Bank in Thailand and Chairman of the Fundraising
Committee for the Bank’s charity “Seeing is Believing which is committed to raising USD100 Mn. by 2020”.
The following awards will be presented at the event:

Winner of the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2015 ,1st Runner up and 2nd Runner
up Category A - Any listed or unlisted company/enterprise from the private or public
(Government) sector, including group companies with a turnover of Rs. 15 bn. or over

Winner, 1st Runner up and Second Runner up from Category B- Any listed or unlisted, private
or public enterprise with a turnover below Rs. 15bn.

The Top Ten Corporate Citizens selected from all applications under categories A & B

Three Triple Bottom Line Awards for:- Environment Sustainability(Planet), Social
Sustainability(People), Economic Sustainability (Profit)

Nine category awards for the best performance under:- Environmental Management,
Environmental Integration, Environmental Value Addition, Employee Relations, Customer
Relations, Community Relations, Governance, Financial Performance, Economic Contribution.

Ten Sector Awards for the best performance under:- Agriculture, Construction, Finance,
Healthcare, Infrastructure & Logistics, Knowledge Service, Leisure, Manufacturing, Diversified
Holdings and other

Grand Slam Award:- Any entity which wins the award in 5 different years, to recognise continuous
excellence over a long period

Award for the Best Presented Application

Best Projects Sustainability Awards 2015:- These awards were introduced by the CCC to
encourage businesses to think beyond their bottom line by investing some of their gains in
philanthropic activities that benefit the environment(Planet) and society at large(People). These
Awards recognise outstanding projects undertaken by listed or unlisted, private/public sector of
activities in a wide arena of activities. Awards will be given for the best Five Sustainability projects
and all other projects that have achieved a high standard will receive Certificates of Merits.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce extends the following options to enable the member company
representatives to participate at the Awards ceremony and banquet. We kindly request you to perfect the
appended reply slip and forward to the undersigned on or before Friday, 20th November 2015(latest) in
order to forward an invitation to the registered participant/s. Please note that the reservations will be done
on a first come first served basis. Make your reservations well in advance to avoid last minute
disappointments in relation to the reservations.
