Customer Business Manager Job Summary: The Customer Business Manager is responsible for the execution of the organization's North American Retail's category/brand strategies at the customer level that deliver Annual Operating Plan (AOP) profit targets by achieving targeted Volume, Gross Sales After Trade (GSAT) / Trade as a Percent of Revenue (TAPR), distribution and Category Growth Fund (CGF) goals. Additional responsibilities include: understanding the customer's key objectives/strategies and implementing joint business plans that deliver long-term mutual growth; customizing; selling and implementing corporate strategies and Category Leadership Programs with the customer; acting as the key point of contact with Category Managers/Directors of the Customer. Key internal interactions will be with the Director of Sales, Team Performance Manager, (TPM), Customer Category Manager (CCM), Customer Planning Analysts (CPA), Customer Service Account Manager (CSAM), Customer Marketing and the Customer Sales Planning Organization. Responsibilities & Duties: Area of responsibility includes Safeway Corporate Headquarter call Product categories to include Refrigerated products, Frozen products and/or all portfolios Penetrate Customer at multiple levels and establishes business relationships that enable strategic collaborative business planning initiatives, where appropriate Own and lead development of strategic and tactical business planning activities with Customer, ensuring achievement of AOP and execution of category tactics: Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, Pricing, Activation (DSMPAs) Leverage CCM/CPA analytics, insights, reporting and recommendations to build/execute customer plans Responsible for Siebel fiscal year plan input, knowledge and ongoing maintenance, as well as utilizing reporting capabilities to evaluate all aspects of the plan integrity; Authorized Distribution List (ADL), forecasting, promotion detail, customer contracts, AOP metrics, post promotional analysis, and scenario planning Responsible for developing Retail Packets for Acosta and communication with the Retail Excellence Team to achieve merchandising success Coordinate with CSAM resource on Supply Chain and Procurement opportunities Leverage internal resources to strengthen Customer relationship through top-to-top presentations, Category Leadership Programs, Category Reviews, Vendor Partnerships and Advisory Roles Broker development - Evaluate and build retail execution with Acosta broker partner Coordinate with CSAM resource on Supply Chain and Procurement opportunities *LI-KV1 Indeed Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required 5 or more years of relevant CPG experience preferably to include a combination of: Sales/Customer Management, Customer/Trade Marketing and Category Management A minimum of 3 years of CPG National Customer Management experience is required Hillshire Brands focuses on providing meat-centric food products that satisfy consumer appetites and offer exceptional quality and value.
