Calls for Art Submissions:
MAC is seeking work of content having refined craftsmanship and contemporary
aesthetic merit. All shows at MAC are juried.
There are two ways to submit work to MAC:
1. Become a Professional Member for $120 per year (equivalent to just $10 per
month), which entitles you to submit work for consideration for juried thematic exhibits,
as well as art objects and functional work for sale and on view in the gallery. Benefit from
a variety of professional perks including representation on our website, discounts on
classes, events and services such as website design; Submit proposals to teach classes
or workshops; meet for feedback on your portfolio with a MAC team member
(complimentary 20 minute meeting). Be a part of an exciting new art endeavor, our
catalog, and outreach developments!
2. Non-Members may submit work for consideration for an individual show: $30 for up to 3
pieces ($25 for Lake County residents), and $10 for each additional piece (non-refundable).
DUE SEPT 3: Portraits - October 2 thru Nov. 8. Portraiture both realistic and imaginative
is a long-standing artistic tradition, Western and in other cultures. Explore and capture
your subject's unique physical presence, their internal identity, spirit, character and
individuality including their struggles and triumphs.
DUE OCT 15: Members' Show - Submit up to 8 works of your choice to be considered
for exhibition in the Members' Show during Nov. or Dec. The exhibition is open to all
MAC members and will be curated by committee to provide a cohesive quality exhibit.
ONGOING: Call for Sculpture - Submit dynamic, well crafted work suitable for the
outdoors. Work will be installed in the lot adjacent to MAC building for 3-4 month rotation.
When joining as a member, please submit a selection of your current or strongest work.
We want to see what you are doing, and it may inspire a thematic show. Please also
submit your Artist’s Statement and bio - no more than 1 page in 12 pt font, photo (so
people identify you at openings and events) and resume. You can use the application
on page 2 to assist you. All files must be jpg’s about 1200 pixels on the longest side.
Please see guidelines on page 2. MAC will receive a 40% commission on all work sold.
MAC was created to provide exhibition, teaching, and income opportunities for artists,
as well as cultural enrichment and enjoyment for the community at large and visitors to
Lake County. The MAC Team is a group of volunteers contributing time and energy to
make MAC a vibrant cultural center and sustainable regional asset. Join us! Be a part of
