RATE is a web portal for managing training schedules, registrations, and resources. 2008: Built in-house by GCM Developed to manage research related training 2-3 departments drove the initial requirements Limited features • • • • RATE - Managing Your Training rate@vanderbilt.edu What is RATE? RATE - Managing Your Training rate@vanderbilt.edu Other Roles Content Managers • Can create new courses and sessions within their department(s) • Can be assigned to multiple departments • Allowed to upload documents and create links Trainers • Any registered RATE user can be listed as the trainer for a session • Trainers have the ability to register users and mark attendance for their sessions. RATE - Managing Your Training rate@vanderbilt.edu Registrations RATE provides multiple methods to control your registrations: • Limit the number of participants that can register • Post the course and provide contact information, but prevent users from registering online • Post the course ahead of time and set the date when registrations can begin • Require Prerequisites • New!
