Bannatyne: spaces in MedRehab & Anatomy, Brodie Centre, Basic Medical Sciences • “smart” classrooms: the current 120 rooms at Fort Garry and 24 at Bannatyne will continue to be expanded upon AV Design and Planning • heavily involved with the electronic components for the Active Living Centre • Investor’s Field Stadium boardroom and classroom spaces • Tache Hall Arts Complex - new home for the School of Music with classrooms and teaching spaces for Music as well as the School of Fine Arts • CEOS theatre 5th floor Wallace Open Area Computer Labs • last fiscal year saw the replacement of computers in Human Ecology, the UNIX lab in 113 Machray Hall, 280 Brodie, 340 University Centre, 121 St. John’s College and the creation of the “collaborative study” enabled lab in 188 Extended Education • this fiscal year we will be replacing over 90 computers in other buildings Digital Signage • installation of hardware and configuration of software • currently 1 free-standing kiosk for the Faculty of Medicine and 2 digital boards for Anatomy and the Dean of Medicine’s office, Dentistry, University College, Dafoe Library also completed this past year • involved with the UofM’s digital signage initiative • centralized server in place for serving digital signage across campuses iClicker and iClicker Bases • over 15,000 iClickers have been sold at the UofM campuses • iClicker base stations are installed in all major theatres on both campuses • more will be installed as required • “portable” base stations are also available Streaming Media Services • IST will be purchasing new encoding devices to allow us to move away from REAL...... REALly........ and to allow adaptive streaming • no longer restricted to RealMedia®. Goal is to allow a widely-available, standards-based playback solution which does not require any special downloads • aim is to provide excellent support for mobile (and desktop) devices CCTV • Specify cameras used in the closed circuit security system • Work with Security Services and Physical Plant for installation • Past fiscal year: 5th floor Wallace, Frank Kennedy tunnel, Dafoe library, Migizi Agimik • Parking lot and intersection cameras coming due to Investor’s Field activities
