In medical terminology students will learn the component parts of medical terms such as prefixes, suffixes and word roots. Students will learn the rules for building and defining medical terms. Emphasis is placed of the correct spelling of the terms.
Students will practice formation, analysis and reconstruction of medical terms.
Students will be introduced to diagnostic, therapeutic, symptomatic, and surgical terminology for the body systems.
