Course Registration in ELM ~ Campus Users
A range of CUNYfirst training sessions are available for registration in ELM. Once an individual has
enrolled in a course, they will have permanent access to relevant training materials through their
learning transcript. As training materials are expanded or updated, enrolled learners will receive an
automatic email notification.
Course Registration

Navigate to CUNYfirst at: https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu .
Log in with your Username and Password.
Select the Enterprise Learning Management link on the left-side menu.
Click the Self Service link on the left-side menu.

Here you will see two main categories of information: “Personal Information” holds a range of BioDemo data from your HR record. “Learning” holds information related to all CUNYfirst learning.
Click Learning (left-side menu or center pane).

Once you register and complete courses, you will be able to select “My Learning” for all of you training
materials. At this time, you are registering. Click Browse Catalog (left menu or center pane).

Click the CUNYfirst Training Program link.

Click Next on the top right hand side

Select Financial Applications

Select Credit Card Holders, Travel and Expenses, and Supplier Contracts

Select the applicable area of training.
Note: Search for and select the applicable content module. For exam ple, Admissions, select
Admissions.
Faculty selects Campus Community.
Note: Displayed are all courses in the module.

Select the applicable course.
Note. For example, select FIN-PRO- 003. The course activity information will display:

Select the Enroll Button for the Hunter Session (HTR01)

Select the Submit Enrollment button

Select the My Learning link on the enrollment confirmation page.
Note: This will display the My Learning component page

Select the Course Activity Title for which you are enrolled.

Select the Notes/Attachments link.
Listed are the notes/attachments for course facilitation.
“My Learning” Training Materials in ELM

ELM Training Materials

Navigate to CUNYfirst at: https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu . Enter your Username and Password

Select the Enterprise Learning Management link on the left-side menu.

Click the Self Service link on the left-hand menu.

Click Learning.
Click My Learning. When you have registered for more than five courses, click the All My Learning
link on the bottom of the page. It may be helpful to click the Title row link to sort course
information alphabetically.

Click the desired Course Link (Title). (Note: When UPK materials are available, a Launch button
will appear on this page. UPKs can be accessed either here or on the Note and Attachments page,
which is described below.)

Click Notes and Attachments.

Here you will find the PDF links for training materials. There will be up to four types of training
documents stored here at this time. Note: to open the Power-Point PDF, hold down the Control key
when you click the link. Please be sure you have disabled your Pop-Up Blocker.

The Quick Card includes step-sheets (very quick and straightforward) for each transaction that
falls within a CUNYfirst module. Note that you can click any topic in the Table of Contents to be
brought directly to a desired area.
The Reference Guide includes far more detailed information about each area within a particular
module. Along with the same steps as the Quick-Reference Guide, you will find narrative regarding
business process, screen images, and page/field definition tables.
The Power-Points illustrate the business process flow, screen images, and key definitions and
nomenclature. These presentations, used in training sessions offered on each campus, are
intended to provide new users with an overview of a module prior to practice or testing activities
in CUNYfirst.
Click Return to Previous Page at the bottom to access the UPKs (see below for details).
The UPKs provide a visual and interactive recording of relevant business processes in CUNYfirst.
They can be launched on the course page or on the first page of “My Learning”

“See It” mode allows users to simply watch the activity. “Try It” mode provides prompts for the
user to complete each step in the process. “Know It” mode requires users remember all the steps
in the process, and will provide the user with a score upon completion. THE RECOMMENDED
MODE TO USE IS “TRY IT”!

Note: If you choose to save or print any of the material, please be mindful that there are updates
made on a monthly basis. When you register for CUNYfirst training sessions in ELM, you will
receive an automatic notification via email.
