Division Descriptions
University and Transfer Division
• Programs designed to transfer directly to a related baccalaureate
program
• Incorporates Indiana’s transfer general education core with a choice
of STEM (calculus-based) or non-STEM math pathway
• Completers earn the General Education Transfer Certificate and an
associate degree in a chosen field of study
Health Division
• All programs prepare for a recognized health license or certification
• Most programs are selective admission, limited enrollment
programs
• Many programs transfer to baccalaureate degrees once a graduate is
licensed or certified

Business and Public Service Division
• Programs designed to prepare graduates for immediate employment
• Degree awarded is primarily the Associate of Applied Science
• Most programs have related Technical Certificates that can be completed prior
to the AAS degree
• Some programs embed certifications, but this coursework is typically elective
and not required to meet degree requirements
• MATH 123 Quantitative Reasoning meets the math requirement for most
programs unless noted differently
Technology and Applied Science Division
• Programs designed to prepare graduates for immediate employment or in a
select few programs, may prepare for transfer or employment
• Technical Certificate default enrollment option for most programs
• Most programs either embed multiple nationally-recognized certifications or
prepare graduates to take exams upon completion
• MATH 122 Technical Mathematics meets math requirement for most programs
unless noted
