8.1 Earned Value Calculations
[NOTE: Two different methods of performing Earned Value calculations are presented in
chapter 8 of the MLSP text (page 348); one at the bottom of Table 8.9 and one below the
Table. Both methods will produce the same answers. Use whichever method your
instructor specifies.]
The following earned value report is for the DSS project, estimated to require 12 months,
with a budget of $500,000.
The May 1 numbers are $45,000, $50,000, and $60,000.
The June 1 numbers are $70,000, $80,000, and $90,000.
