What’s happening in Mrs. Male’s Class this week?
After two very frustrating weeks, I am finally on the mend! Thank you for all the good thoughts – I am working hard to get caught up on grade postings by the
end of the week. Our first field trip to Orme Dam Festival at Fort McDowell is this Friday. Thank you to all who have sent in their permission slips – permission
slips must be in by Thursday. If you would like to follow us there and join in, please do. It’s a relaxing educational outdoor event.
Our 2nd novel of the year was handed out last week – Hound Dog True (also referred to in later Weekly Communicators as ‘HDT’) is a story with a message about
trying to fit in while still remaining unique. We will use this novel as basis for deeper study into ways to improve reading comprehension. Students must
continue to work on their Independent Reading and complete at least 20 points of AR before the end of the quarter.
