TAG RUGBY
Nine children from Class 4 took part in the USSP Tag Rugby competition at Friends School on

THINKING DAY: FRIDAY 26th FEBRUARY 2016
The Guiding/Scouting Association celebrate each year the founders of their family: Lord and
Lady Baden Powell; and remember that they belong to the family of Guiding/Scouting all
over the world. Accordingly we invite all members of Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs,
Guides and Scouts to come to school wearing their respective uniforms, so that their special
day can be celebrated during sharing assembly. The children can change back into school
uniform after assembly if they wish.

PANCAKE COMPETITION
Well done to everyone who took part. Congratulations to the winners: KS1 – Eve Fordham and
KS2 – Lucy Miles. Each received a £5 book token. Thank you to Cambridgeshire Catering for
running the competition. All entries are being returned to their owners today.

PARENT CONSULTATION EVENINGS: 1st and 3rd MARCH 2016
Our on line booking system is now live, so please book your appointments if you have not

Please ensure that if you are meeting with more than one teacher, you do not book
consecutive appointments, but instead allow a minimum gap of one appointment (10
minutes. This will ensure appointments are not missed if they are running ahead or behind
schedule.
Once you have chosen your appointments, you will need to register your details, and should
then receive an automated email of confirmation. You can log in to Sign Up Genius at any
stage and amend appointments should you wish. The system is quite self-explanatory,
however if you have any queries or problems please do contact the office.

SPRING FESTIVAL DATE CHANGE
We have changed the date of the first performance from Tuesday 22nd March to Monday 21st
March 2pm.
STAFF VACANCY
We currently have a vacancy for a midday assistant, up to five days a week, 12-1.30pm, term
time only. £7.43 per hour. Please contact the office for more information.
NUT FREE SCHOOL/HEALTHY SCHOOL
Just to remind you that we are a Nut Free School so please do not send any items into school
that contain nuts. Children who have eaten nuts/nut based products for breakfast should
wash their hands before attending school. As we are a Healthy School, snacks sent in for KS2
children to be eaten during morning break should be fruit based, preferably a piece of fruit or
raw vegetables. Crisps, chocolate bars etc are not permitted at morning break time.
SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
The box is now in the lobby. Please start collecting vouchers as we are able to exchange
vouchers for play and learning equipment for the school, so the more vouchers we collect
the more equipment we can buy!
LUNCH MONEY
Please ensure that lunch accounts are kept up to date. You can view your child’s lunch
account balance, meal history and make payments via your SCO account. Alternatively
payment can be made via cheque to the school office, made payable to Ashdon Primary
School or via cash in a sealed named envelope.
Charges for the Spring term are £2.15 per day, £10.75 per week, 2nd half of term £51.60
