Overview and Background The purpose of NSF-STEP grants is to increase the number of STEM graduates in U.S. Colleges and Universities. Operation STEM was created at CSU to increase the number of students who successfully complete the calculus sequence (PreCalculus – Calculus) and graduate with a STEM degree.
