University of Central Florida-RTP3 (Resident Teacher Professional
Preparation Program) Project Director -Works collaboratively with PI and
Co-PIs to organize, communicate, and facilitate the day to day operations of a
10 million dollar Race to the Top Teacher Preparation Grant to develop
secondary Mathematics and Science teachers. Responsibilities include
communication with 50+ resident teachers in the project and Department of
Education, collaboration with the contacts in the partner school districts, as well
as dissemination of development and findings of the project. Participating and
contributing as a special educator on the curriculum redesign committee to
modify the current Master’s in Arts in Teaching (MAT) based on project
findings. Teaching final course in MAT to the cohorts with a focus on
extending teaching Mathematics and Science as well as supporting teachers
working with students with disabilities.
