Olympus FV1000 Multi Spectral Confocal This microscope is equipped with lasers covering 405nm to 635nm wavelength range. This enables efficient observation of the entire palette of fluorescent proteins and provides the spectral capability to simultaneously image multiple fluorophores in live samples. Key capabilities Upto 5 detection channels 4 independent laser lines (405 nm/Argon multiline/559nm/635 nm) 2 nm spectral separation Combined electrophysiological recording set up Integrated temperature control (±0.1°C @ 10 ml.min-1) CO2 control Applications Combined imaging/Electrophysiology Time-lapse imaging Characterisation of novel probes FRAP/FLIP with rapid “tornado scan” Location : Room N220, College of Medical and Dental Sciences University of Birmingham Contact: Dr Andy Powell a.d.powell@bham.ac.uk 21 September 2012 Scarman House, University of Warwick
