sellers, along with some other helpful tools for you to review.

Your Step-by-Step Guide to Fundraising Success
1. Let’s set a goal! Determine how many sellers you have and how much money you need to raise. Then
we can figure how many candles each seller will have to sell to reach the collective goal.
2. I’ll give you a Seller Packet for each of your sellers that consists of a product guide to show products
and an envelope with an order form printed right on it to collect payment. The cost of the Seller
Packets is $2.75 for 10. Let’s talk about how we’ll handle the cost of these.
3. It’s up to you to collect and pay all applicable sales taxes. This information should be readily available
on the Internet.
4. To make calculating the cost for your sellers simple and easy, shipping has been included in the candle
prices.
5. I highly recommend your organization use our Sales Booster Letter for each of your sellers. It provides
deadlines, payment information, and delivery and pick-up details.
6. I also suggest you educate your sellers on the made-in-the-USA quality of the product they will be
selling to their supporters. Each candle features safety wicks and cool wax that burns evenly and gives
a strong, long lasting fragrance. Each candle also comes packaged in a decorative gift box.
7. As the chairperson, it will be your job to tally all the sellers’ totals and complete the Fundraising Master
Order Form. This Master Order Form should be accompanied by a copy of each seller’s order form for
sorting and distribution purposes.
8. Orders will be delivered to one location (either to me or to you). Once I submit the order, I’ll give
you an estimated date of delivery. (The average turnaround time is two weeks.) We should both plan
to be present to receive delivery. You may also want to have some volunteers available to help us
move and sort large orders.
9. Cheques received from supporters should be made payable to your organization. Then, you will make
one cheque payable to me when the Master Order Form is submitted. Thanks to Gold Canyon’s
“Instant Gratification” Fundraising Programme, your organization keeps your profit and can start
using the funds immediately after you submit your cheque.
10. I will provide you with a copy of the Master Order Form for your records.

HOW MUCH WILL OUR ORGANIZATION EARN?
The amount your organization raises is entirely up to you, but Gold Canyon has taken great strides to make
sure you earn serious “scents”. Our Programme is set up for you to see a generous gross profit of 40%
from the price of each candle sold! For example, if you sell just 50 candles at $23 each, your
organization will earn $460.00!
HOW LONG SHOULD OUR FUNDRAISER LAST?
The length of the fundraiser is up to you. The average selling period for a successful fundraiser is 2-3
weeks. Gold Canyon recommends staying within this timeframe for it to be the most effective.
ARE YOUR PRODUCT SELECTIONS SIMPLE FOR OUR SELLERS?
Absolutely! Your sellers will offer one candle size that’s available in 15 fragrances and colours. We’ve
chosen our bestselling fragrances inspired by Blooms, Fresh, Essentials, Gourmand, Market and Nature.
HOW DO I CALCULATE THE FINAL SELLING PRICE?
The candle price is a simple $23 and that price includes shipping! You’ll need to add the cost of tax to
the candle price; there is spot to add the tax on the order form.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE IF OUR ORGANIZATION HAS ANOTHER FUNDRAISER?
There are two fundraiser seasons per year that support your organization. Effective dates for the two
seasons are Spring/Summer from February 1 through August 31 and Fall/Winter from September 1 through
January 31.
