Information for Participants
Getting to Warsaw:
If you are coming from Chopin International Airport the easiest way to get to
downtown Warsaw is to take a the corporate taxies waiting outside of the
exit from the airport (SUPER TAXI, SAWA or ELE wit big telephone numbers
on the top). Cost of the taxi to downtown Warsaw is approximately 40 PLN (
ca. 10 euro). You can also take a SKM (fast rail) from the Chopin airport
which takes around 25 minutes to downtown in the morning and during
rush hours. It runs every 10 to 12 minutes. Railway station is next to
terminal A. Tickets can be bought at every newsstand and ticket machines
at the airport, station or in trains. The cost of one way ticket for adult is
around 4,40 PLN. Main station in downtown is Warszawa Śródmieście.
In Warsaw:
Depending on where you stay you can always take a taxi which are very
affordable. Around downtown taxi will cost you around 20 PLN. If you stay
in Harenda Hotel it is situated walking distance from the Main Campus
buildings. If you stay in Ibis Hotel it is a walking distance from the
University (15 minutes walk). If you are staying in Marriott we recommend
to take a taxi (25 minutes walk).
About Conference:
All the meetings will be held at the main Campus of University at
Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28 street and in the University Library at
Dobra 56/66 street (10 minutes walking toward Vistula river from the main
Campus).
Wi-fi and current
There is wi-fi connection available in each conference building. We will give
you passwords on arrival.
Please remember to bring the adapter plug for electronic items if you are
outside of the continental Europe (Poland - 220 V).
Registration
Registration for the conference opens at 1:30 on Thursday May 15 in the
hall outside of the rooms 315 and 316 at the main building of the University
of Warsaw Library (Biblioteka Uniwersytecka) at Dobra 55/56. We will
continue the registration on Friday at 9:30 for the late comers.
Day 1
Pre-conference workshops on Thursday will be held at the main building of
the University of Warsaw Library (Biblioteka Uniwersytecka) at Dobra 55/56
street in rooms 315 and 316. Both rooms are situated on the 1st floor of the
Library. Please go to the main entrance situated next to the red-pink steel
construction. Elevator will be on the right. We also recommend that you
visit University gardens which are situated on the library building roof
before or after the workshops.
Day 2
Conference will take place at the Main Campus of the University at
Krakowskie Przdmiescie 26/28 in the Old Library building (centrally located
building with the clock) and in Kazimierzowski Palace (behind the clock
building).
Day 3
All sessions will be held at the Main Campus at Krakowskie Przedmiescie
(Kazimierzowski Palace, Collegium Iuridicum II)
Meals
Breakfast
Small breakfast (tea, coffee, juices, rolls) will be served on Friday and on
Saturday, half an hour before commencement of the morning sessions in
front of the conference rooms.
Lunch
Lunch on Friday (standing lunch) will be served in the lobby of the main
conference room in the Old Library Building.
Lunch on Saturday (sitting lunch) will be served in the professor’s cafeteria
in the Kazimierzowski Palace.
Gala Dinner
The Gala Dinner will be held in Dom Polonii (catered by Lokal Bistro) at
Krakowskie Przedmieście 64 Street. It is situated 10 minutes walking
distance from the main gate of the University (on the right handside before
you get to the square with the column of King Zygmunt at the Old Town).
Reception will start at 7:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.
Please let us know if you plan to invite an additional person to gala ginner
The cost of dinner per accompanying person is 40 Euro. You can pay for
extra dinner by wire transfer on the Center’s account or we can arrange
other form of payment when you arrive.

Warsaw Panoramic Tour
You can sign for panoramic tour of Warsaw to get acquainted with the
history of Poland’s capital. The Tour include city centre with the Palace of
Culture and Science and Three Crosses Square. Stop by the Monument of
Fryderyk Chopin at Łazienki Royal Park. Take a leisurely stroll to see Palace
on the Isle, Aphitheatre and Myslewicki Palace. Drive along the prestigious
Royal Route with its beautiful palaces, famous statues and historic
churches. See the historic sights of Warsaw - Ghetto Memorial, Monument
of Warsaw Uprising, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Opera House. At the end
stop at the Castle Square with the Royal Castle intricately reconstructed
after World War II and take a short walk to the Market Square.
Duration: up to 3 hours.
Cost: max. 110 zlp (26 euro) per person
(min. 10 persons; English speaking guide and transportation by coach or
mini-bus included).
The cost will be lower if we will have more than 10 participants.
Please sign for a tour at the registration desk on Thursday or Friday
morning at the latest. The bus will leave from the Main Campus right after
lunch on Saturday at 14:30
