When we say [suspect 1] or
[suspect 3] we mean the
names of those suspects will
go in that spot.
Scene 1: Deck of the Titanic
Jane: What a beautiful Sunday morning on the Titanic! I wish that these corners
didn’t have quite as much dust. Wait! What’s that over there? It looks like someone
dancing in a black cloak! It is illegal to dance on Sunday on this fine ship! I shall go
tell the onboard detective about this so we can punish them!
Scene 2: Detective’s office
Toby: (sitting, reading and smoking a pipe)
Jane: Detective! Detective! You know the law about no dancing on Sunday?
Toby: Yes… yes… What about it?
Jane: Well I saw a dark figure wearing a black cloak dancing and today’s Sunday!
Toby: Wait… It’s Sunday? (checks calendar) Oh yes it is! I will ask passenger if they
know anybody on this ship who wears black cloaks!
Scene 3: Deck of the Titanic
Toby: (says loudly) Did anyone here bring or know someone who brought a black
cloak with them?
Ryan: Yes! Yes! We know!
Evan: Their names are [suspect 1, suspect 2, suspect 3]!
Toby: Go get them and bring them to my office immediately!
Ryan: OK! Keep us posted on the case!

Scene 4: Detective’s office
All 3 suspects walk into the detective office
Toby: (points at Hayden) You stay here! Everyone else wait outside!
(Rachael and Ada walk out)
Toby: So… Were you dancing this morning?
Hayden: No! I have just been itching my chicken pox! (Itches all over)
Toby: Hmm… Interesting… Please bring in [suspect 2]
Hayden: Ok fine! After that I’ll look for some chicken noodle soup to make me feel
better.
(Rachael walks into office)
Toby: Hello [suspect 2]! Were you dancing this morning?
Rachael: No no no no no! I have just been trying to get all this dirt off my shoe!
(picks at bottom of shoe)
Toby: Ok then… Thank you. Go get [suspect 3] right away!
(Ada walks in)
Toby: Were you dancing this morning?
Ada: Of course not! I’ve just been looking for my wallet! (Checks for wallet) Oh I
found it! Wait… That’s not my wallet; it’s a huge rock!
Toby: Ok then… Now get out of here!!!
Scene 5: Deck of the Titanic
Toby: Hmmmmmmm… I’ve gotten a lot of clues. What is that on the ground over
there? It looks a letter! (Walks over to envelope and picks it up) It is! I shall bring it
back to my office!

Scene 6: Detective’s Office
(Toby sees who it says in the envelope and winks to that person. That person put on
the boots.)
Toby: Hmm… Why is this hexagon rug in my office? Weird rug… It might be
evidence! (Toby flips the rug) Nothing on this side or the other si- (opens
hexaflexagon and reveals the glowing footprint) Gasp! A clue!
(All Skittles say: DUN DUN DUN!)
Toby: It is too large to shoes… It’s a boot! I must get all the suspects down here right
now to see if any of them are wearing boots. [suspect 1] [suspect 2] and [suspect 3],
GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!!
(All suspects come to the office)
If Hayden did it:
Toby: [suspect 1], stay here. Everyone else, get out’a here!
Hayden: Why am I here? I was in the middle a nap!
Toby: Come over here…
(Both of them walk to the rug. Toby puts Hayden’s foot up to the footprint.)
Toby: (gasp) You were dancing!!
Hayden: (says with a british accent) No! You are crazy! I did not!
Toby: Ah… You did. The proof is in the yummy pudding! You’re boot matches with
the rug that was in the spot where the “dancing” took place!
Hayden: As I said, I am just scratching my chicken pox!
Toby: Tell it to the judge!
(Ship starts to sink. Jane runs into office)
